Clearance going on at Kragen, never can tell until you show up at the store what they will actually have, but $5 off for online orders or free shipping. In the clearance I found a 2 ton cherry picker with load leveler for $6, but exceeds 20 lbs and land shipping was $60, and I already have a cherry picker, so skipped. Could be a hot deal if one is local to you.
Rest of the junk I wanted turned up in two local stores, I'll post once I see what I "actually" get.
Engine cradle for $6
5 drawer chest for $32.
more later

When I do a search for Kragen (which I've never hear of before) Google gives me "Parts America" (also which I've never hear of before)
A two ton cherry picker for $6? Sounds impossible. I would think all the employees would be buying them up and selling them on Craigs list and Ebay.
You cannot look nationwide or regional, since it wants your zip code. You would have to sit with a zip directory and punch in other zips to locate this stuff (a good deal is worth driving a ways for).

Kragen should get American made tools.
They would never do that; they're too cheap.

Kragen is in the process of converting to Orielly's, and the last time there was a big clearance the next weekend the swapmeet was full of things from the sale.
5 of the 8 items I bought online the store could not find, or once found were mismarked. the 5 drawer ball bearing chest turned out to be the bottom, maybe a deal for $32, but nothing I needed (two of them at the Tustin Cal store).

Kragen is big in California. I have been going there since the early 1970's. For a while the named changed to Checker but then went back to Kragen. And now it has been bought by O'Reilly's. Sort of like how Stanley, Danaher, and Snap-On buy up other companies.

Actually Checker, Kragen, Schucks, Murrays, and Advance auto parts are all under the same corporate hat. That's where the parts america website comes in. It's been that way for awhile now. If they got Gearwrench in all of their stores, that would be a rather large prescence for Gearwrench and the market would be flooded with Powerbuilt clearance stuff.:wtf:
Unfortunately, with the exception of Napa and some independent parts stores, I think the days of seeing US made tools in an auto parts store are gone.:(
