Hey, UK guys.... I was doing some surfing and came upon Laser Tools based in the UK; they seem to have quite a large selection of tools and even specialty timing tools for VWs. Do you guys know anything about them? Are they're tools any good? One site was referencing one of their ratchets that was for tight confined areas: http://forums.lasertools.co.uk/item.aspx?cat=202&item=3297
Their main website is here: http://www.lasertools.co.uk/default.aspx
Their current cats can be downloaded here: http://www.lasertools.co.uk/download.aspx

Friendly bump.
That stuff does look interesting. The prices are pretty scary, though...

I have no experience using them but I know some techs who have them and they rate them very highly. I asked my one buddy specifically and he said he thought they were a similar quality to Beta tools. He buys his ratchets and screwdrivers from Snappy and buys most of the rest from Beta or Laser, with some Teng for the lesser used stuff.
I like this from their website: Tools will be replaced if they are found to be defective and the company will always offer replacements or a repair if tools fail through normal use or if parts go missing
I noticed that some of it is made in Sheffield, which can only be a good thing. All the best stuff comes from there.

I have and use a bunch of Laser stuff and am currently buying more as I come across more modern fasteners like torx.
It's top class gear that I picked up on some years ago after seeing it in many a professionals tool box here.

answered before, most of it is nasty cheap junk with a silly price tag,.
Its nowhere near as good as Beta, snap on etc
Its ok but I wouldn't trust them not to break. The special tools some are ok, some like the honda crank things snap as soon as you look at them etc.
A lot of mechanics use any old junk in their boxes tbh

Their tools can be bought in motor factors all over the country. For hobby mechanics & people wanting to attempt to work on their cars then their not bad tools. Personally i wouldn't buy any of it as it wont stand up to the abuse of constant everyday use.
