williams supercombo wrenches

hi everyone,im thinking of buying a set of williams supercombo wrenches.If anyone has handled these, what do you think,and would you pay $130 for the 11 wrench set.oh and whats up with the special open end thats supposed to cut down on fastener rounding.thanks:beer:

there is a welding supply that has one set that he special ordered.and have you looked on williams tool group?they have an online catalog.

I have MM and SAE supercombos. They are excellent AND great. The handle is very comfortable. I replaced all my other combination wrenches with these supercombos. The open end has ridges which avoid direct contact with the corners of the nut.
If you're looking for the SAE set, check Harry Epstein. Verify with them that they are supercombos, which have "SC" in the part number.

like some snap on wrenches that i have, with the ridges.I like those.

there are several of these sets on ebay as well, although SUPERCOMBO may not be in the title, so just search for Williams wrench

I love my Supercombo's, Supertorque's and Superrench's. Just be careful and make sure you get wrenches that say Williams and USA on them, because there are Williams wrenches made in Taiwan now as well. They don't say Taiwan on the wrench itself, but on the label that comes on them. If anyone here has a good source for Supercombo's other than Epstein's and E-Bay, please share it. I already have all the Williams wrenches Epstein has (other than Hi-Vis) and E-Bay is hit or miss. Sometimes you find individual Williams wrenches out the ***, and other times there's nothing but sets.
Motivepower and some of the other dealers listed on Williams website are EXPENSIVE compared to Epstein and E-Bay...

I have them, metric and SAE. Flank drive plus style, which is with the 'teeth'.
Very heavy duty. I mean very.
But.
I had the chrome chip on one when I bumped the concrete floor with it.
Other than that they are fine. You could stand on one of the big ones and it wouldn't care.
Got a leftover spare brand new 1 inch never used, USA made that I want to sell for 10 bucks if anyone really wants one.

If that's a Supercombo 1", PM me. I'll buy it. The only Williams 1" I have is a Superrench with smooth jawed open end.
