Probably in a few months to a year I will be getting a project car...probably a NA Miata

Curious what is a good decent quality Compression test kit to go with....I looked at the Snap-on one and they wanted $218.00 for there's

Also looked on toolwarehouse.net and some of there kits have a wide range of prices.....any thoughts or advice on which kit to look into?????

That is the cheapest master set on there, and Mityvac is usually good stuff. Or, you can just figure out the thread size (probably 14mm) and geta guage for that, instead of paying for all the other plug thread sizes that you will never use

Edit... I have used snap on compression gauges, and there is nothign about them that makes them worth 218$

Check Crapsman, they sell a nifty looking set for 60-70 clams.

I have a compression tester that I got for my 16th birthday (25 years ago) from Canadian Tire, it still works great but last year I found a nice Mac one on E Bay that I got for $31

I have one from Star Products that works good, the only thing I did was change it over to a glycerin filled guage.
