OK now that I have my Hansen trays and put them in the drawers of my tool box. I noticed now that I have 4 for my 1/2" drive (2 of which are for impacts), 2 for 3/8" and 2 for 1/4" sockets. So I'm in the garage this evening and started counting how many pegs there are all together and came to 226 pegs, then I started counting my sockets that were on them. I have 143 sockets on the pegs and 83 empty pegs.

Do any of the other members here who have the Hansen trays have the "URGE" to fill up every peg as I do?

Am I losing my mind, my sanity?

I have them, and had the same feeling. I went to Sears to get the missing ones- and they evidently don't exist.

That is one reason why I will be getting rid of them in the near future - I am making custom socket management holders that will hold every socket I have or want, with no wasted space for those I can't get, or don't need.

They exist, Sears just dosen't sell them. You have to go up to at least Armstrong or Proto

Ones that need to be filled that are empty

1/4" size: 4.5mm in standard and deep welled(the only ones I know that
sells this size is Snap-on

1/8" factional in standard and deep welled
5/32" fractional in standard and deep welled
3/16" fractional in standard size only
5/8" fractional in standard and deep welled

**Currently my fractional sockets in 1/4" are Craftsmen but will probably be switched over to SK in a month or 2 (if you dont like this I dont care)****

3/8" size: 15/16" and 1" standard size are Craftsmen which will be replaced
with SK in the near futurer the rest are SK in standard size
fractional

Missing 1/4" and 5/16" in deep welled fractional these will be filled
with SK and replace the rest of the deep welled with SK in the
near future

6mm standard size metric is missing
20mm in standard and deep welled are empty
These sizes filled with SK

**Eventually all my sockets will be switched from Craftsmen to SK (if you dont like my decision I really dont care***

1/2" size: 10mm deep welled
11mm deep welled
12mm deep welled
16mm deep welled
17mm deep welled
23mm standard and deep welled
25mm standard and deep welled

**For awhile the 1/2" drive sockets will stay Craftsmen because they are less used....also no fractional sizes in 1/2" drive at this time***

I've not got that many empties but i've only got 6 racks, and my complaint is the 1/2 metric rack doesn't go up high enough, the rack goes to 27 my set goes to 30 and my set lacks a couple of the oddball sizes they allow space for
