Everything here .9HP and up is basically unstallable with the attachments I have on here. The Sioux units are made in USA, the dotco is made in USA, the 3M is made in USA, the black IRs are made in USA (I think), the Master Powers are japanese, and all the chrome crap is China.

Out of all of these the atlas copco units are my favorite, then the dotco. The sioux units win for sheer brutality, but they are a bit big around the middle...

Thats quite the collection, I feel under prepared now since I only have 2 air grinders.

Now all you need is a Sioux 1954HP. :)

I keep seeing those pop up on ebay. I'm sure its a good unit, sioux makes top notch stuff. I do think I'm done buying straight die grinders, unless I come across a really super bargain... or its atlas-copco. Their dampening systems is unbelievable. can't get a bur to chatter if you try.

Very much so. Thanks for your business; that's an expensive drawer.

I'm still trying to find a mandrel that won't bend under the torque they put out.

:D then you should try the Sioux 1985 (shown in post 2 here). they have twice the power of the 1954.

Great collection. This rivals Moparhound's ratchet collection!!!!
(with the big difference that you probably use all of them!)

Well, I just counted my stuff. I have 12 air grinders and 8 electric grinders. I'm seriously thinking there is something wrong with me.

I didn't post pics of my three 4.5" Milwaukee angle grinders and the 9" old skool B&D, did I?

I don't use the electrics much these days. the pneumatic stuff is so much easier to work with...although when you need a BIG grinder, there is just nothing else that will do...

Everything here .9HP and up is basically unstallable with the attachments I have on here.

I know you qualified your statement with the phrase "the attachments I have on here," but I stalled my Dotco .9HP with a wire brush cleaning up some sheet metal.

It didn't stall using a Mastercut diamond carbide bit on really tough cast-iron.

I need to get more hip, by the way, to paying attention to the appropriate abrasive used for the appropriate die grinder. That is, somethings are overkill with a merit flap wheel. Other things work perfectly with it.

Now I'm thinking I need to get a a grinder collection like yours. :) One can dream
