Has anyone used soda blasters to remove paint from an old car? Can you make recommendations? Soda seems to be gentler than other media.

soda blasting is great but it is slow as heck if you have many layers of paint or a bunch of bondo.
I recomend that you use stripper on the car and perhaps even run a grinder ofver certain areas with 36 grit before hitting it with the soda

Soda blasting is great but the equipment costs a fortune.
You probably need over 200 CFM.

Well, I have seen quite a few posts lately on various boards that suggested soda blasting was a contributor to poor primer/paint adhesion and eventual cracking. I haven't seen any credible scientific evidence, but rather the opinions of many body/paint technicians.
Anyone have a clue wether soda blasting truely has a negative effect on paint job quality?
