Hey Guys,
I need to head down to Memphis, TN next weekend for work. Is there any pawnshops / flea markets that would be worth hitting up?
Thanks!

Big Daddy's Pawn on the corner of Winchester and Hickory Hill. Watch your back around there. I have bought a few sacks full of sockets [Craftsman] for .25 cents each.

I lived in Memphis right after college. I spent every spare penny buying old woodworking tools at the old Mid South Flea Market(at the old coliseum) I think they have it once a month now. I've got relatives in Memphis so we(wife and I) shop there at least three or four times a year. I would start looking on Summer Ave(pretty safe in the day time) Lots of junk and pawn shops. I have had pretty good luck in Southhaven Ms(suburb to the south)I bought a really nice Mac toolbox cheap there recently. Close to car dealers and casinos. Snap on has a big warehouse in this area but hasn't seemed to drive the price down. I can't stress enough be careful. Memphis is like alot of big cities. You just have to use common sense( I would stay out of Orange Mound ,area just to the west of the Airport on Winchester, and parts of north Memphis) I worked in North Memphis for 8 years, made lots of friends, and loved the town. Oh yea lots of country store/junk stores traveling east out of town.
