I have a 1/2" Proto "Big Dawg" long handle ratchet that I somehow screwed up when I rebuilt while I was putting some lube in it.

There's a small pin that's bent at a right angle that has a spring at one end. Somehow, when I put it back together, the pin sheared off.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement for this part? Also, any tips on how these parts go back together properly?

Thanks for the help.

Thanks! That does help quite a bit. I just hop I can find a replacement for that pin. I'd hate to have to get rid of a perfect tool just because I couldn't find a replacement for this small pin.

In addition to the fine post above. Don't mind if Elroy suggests you review this one as well:

With these two groups of information you should be good to go.

That's also very helpful.

I should have done some research before I opened this ratchet up. I've rebuilt ratchets before, I just thought it would be another "idiot proof" operation.

That little pin with a spring really threw me off.
