I found these in a box of junk in my garage. Can't find any info on the internet. They look like a distributor wrench to me, but I'm no expert. Anyone know when they were made and what they are for?

They are 3/8 drive on one end and 9/16 on the other. They are marked "Bonney PWA1393 9/16"

Thanks in advance.

If they were 1/2" and 9/16", I would have guess for distributors ..
or was that 9/16" and 5/8" ..

PWA = Pratt and Whitney Aircraft. They were contract wrenches made for P&W. I'll ask around and see if I can find out the exact application. Most of the guys I know only dealt with the air frame not the engines.

pretty sure it's for cylinder head nuts on pratt radials. If you're thinking of getting rid of them, I may be interested, just for nostalgia sake.

I bet they will fit any bolt that's the correct size... save 'em they may come in handy someday.

Dear cnyeco1:

The tools are for a torque wrench and allow the cylinder hold down nuts on a P&W R985 engine to be tightened or removed. I own a Beaver aircraft that has one of htose venerable engines on it. I have just broke mine. If you would be willing to part with them I sure could use the tools. I would be happy to compensate you for shipping and buy them if you desire.

Thanks,

Jim

James,
I am not sure if you ever connected with cnyeco1 to purchase his Bonney PWA 1393 9/16" torque wrenches. If you still need one, I have one in good condition that is available for sale. I have a couple of Bonney PWA Crowfeet wrenches available for sale as well. Just contact me if interested.

Thanks,
Anthony
