What you guys say? It's a short 7 inch (overall length) flex-head ratchet utilizing the traditional MAC 30 tooth pear head with their new comfort grip handle. Retail Price $93.99

A bit on the high side, price wise, no?

Yes it's pricey - and a lot of guys will shun the dated technology with its coarse 30 tooth gear, but when paired with the red Permatex 81950, it becomes a VERY smooth operator. :)

Merkava,
You will freak if you buy one, they are no longer stamped USA they now have a sticker that say made in USA with Global materials.

It looks like it would fit the bill for a short 3/8" drive flex-head that's easy to hold onto. :)

You balk at $37 for a special-use tool, but not at $94 for a freakin' ratchet of which you already have a billion of? You're crazy, man.

I hate the new handles MAC has, they look real Harbor freight like.

Probably made on the same assembly line...

I bet even the Harbor Freight would be smoother with more gear teeth. I would not pay over $25 for that ratchet personally.

Big ol comfort grip handle is too bulky looking to me. I have always liked the way the hard handle Snap-ons looked, but I have always held off on buying many of the handled ratchets fearing that the handle would end up getting in the way of something when in use.

The handles are smaller in size than the old mac plastic handles and feel good in the hand.

I`d rather buy the SO FCF936 it`s shorter (6 1/8") it`s cheaper (75,95$) and it has 6 teeth more :)

I didn't know that - they look bigger in the images. :dunno:

I had that handle on a 1/2" 45ooth MAC ratchet and I loved the handle, but they dont last long before the rubber gets cuts and flakes off, and they are harder to clean than the new SO soft grips. The SO is just so much harder rubber, so they hold up better.

Is 7" really stubby? Maybe for 1/2" drive!
