Hello guys,
I am sure this has been discussed here before, but I was not finding what I was looking for via the search engine.

I have a large selection of older tools that have been either handed down from parents and grandparents or purchased at auctions, flea markets etc...

I would like to know how to determine their ages... brand names include Craftsman, Snap-on, Mac, Indestro, Proto, Blackhawk and others.

I do have a picture of some symbols for snap-on, however many of the ones i have do not have these symbols on them(pre30')??

So, if anyone has any literature, referance materials , or websites that might help, it would be greatly apreciated

Thanks in advance

that look's like a #5 short brace. i'd say mid twenties.

acordong to the weblink billymade posted above... it is a #5... somewhere between 23'-25'... biggest determining factors were ball stopvs shoulder stop and over all length
