So, I bought this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160320918965&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem=#ebayphotohosting

Figured, at $12.73, it was cheap enough to check it out, and if I don't like it, I can always go with the Proto or something else...

Anyhow, I discovered something interesting about it, that wasn't evident in the pictures (and forgive my lack of pictures, my camera has dead batteries :( ) - the base will accept a 3/8" drive, which means in addition to being a breaker bar, it's also a 12" wobble, which is kind of nifty.

Anyone ever see these before? I can't find any reference to it with current production Mac tool stuffs.

Yeah, I have seen one of these before. I have a 1/2 drive. You got a decent price.

Good luck trying to get it warrantied if you break anything on it.

Lots of companies used to offer breaker bars with the base that would a ratchet. I have seen Williams, Mac and maybe even a Proto like that.

You can mail broken tools back to mac and they replace them hassle free!!
I've done it!!! Or send it to me and I'll have my dealer replace it!!

I think Blacknwhitepit was referring more to them not making this particular tool anymore...

Heck, I can't even find a 10" breaker on Mac's website...

If I break it, and it's not replaceable, I'm out $13...

With any luck, it'll last me several years. :D
