I ran a "Ratchet Brand Survey" and a "Vintage Tool Brand Survey" some weeks ago. Several folks PM'd me with the idea that I ended the surveys too soon. So I have reopened them, and will let them run for awhile. In fact, I plan to kick this thread to the top once in awhile so newcomers can see it.

If you haven't taken these surveys yet, please consider doing so.

Thanks for the replies, we're now up to 67 responses on the ratchet survey, but trailing on the tool brand survey.

Good idea! I missed both of those the first time around...

By the way, I am watching the text entry portion of the surveys, and will be putting out an additional survey soon, that looks at the brands omitted in the first surveys.

I will be using the brands you suggest to create the follow up survey, but that will not come for a couple days yet.

Thanks all, --Bolster

I am glad you tossed it back up, I missed it the first time around.

What should Uncle Buck's penalty be, for being late?

I'm thinking we make him take each survey 3 times, but that may be too lenient.

(PS: 72 have took the old tool survey and 81 have tooken the ratchet survey...seems ratchets get the blood flowin faster than the wrenches.)

No, that's too harsh.

It'd be more humane to take away Buck's shins, or front teeth, then his wire wheel.

Buck could still ride in a wheelchair without his shins, and could gum his food without his teeth, but he'd be utterly destroyed without his wire wheel. He'd have little reason to live.

Hey. Just another 10 on the ratchet survey, and 20 on the vintage survey, and we'll have 100 each, nice round number.

Do your part, homies. Take the survey if you haven't already!

Well, I suppose if you guys would like to see me suffer a little here you could always make me use alternative tool cleaning methods than my beloved wire wheel on the grinder, but I just cannot imagine what that would do to me! (You know, just talkin bout wheeling an old ratchet or wrench up kinda gives me a case of goose bumps!)

Leave yer survey up a bit longer there Bolster, You don't want the rest of these fellers to miss out!
