I was reading on the current HF 20% off coupon and it says:
"this coupon cannot be duplicated in any manner including photocopies and computer printouts. Original coupon must be presented in order to receive discount."
So has any one ever had any problems using the printed off coupon? I would use my normal coupon but I can't find the HF ad with it in it anymore.

I have never had any problems with the printed coupons from their e-mails or their website. However, I know people have scanned the flyer coupons and distributed them and people have had problems with those. And I know some people have posted coupons that have been photoshopped with different percentages off or different dates and those are a problem.
If it came from one of their e-mails or their website I'd just ask them how the heck else they expect you to use it - bring your laptop into the store so they can scan the screen?

I printed out the coupon and tried to use it. They didn't question the legitimacy of the coupon...but they told me I couldn't use it in combination with the sale items I was trying to buy. :wtf:

Lilburn. The tall drink of water (female) that was checking me out told me that.
Then a week later, they were allowing 20% off regardless of sale. That's what pisses me off about HF....they always got all these bullshit sales going on. I'd rather they just be more consistent in their pricing.

I usually print the entire email, with their email address at the top, and don't get any issues.
Printing in color might help too, makes it less likely you're copying 100 at a time, or at least that you had the original at some point.

Can't use it with any other "coupon" offer, but ok for sale items. Any chance it was a coupon item you were denied on?

Never had a problem either.
Don't forget, these coupons are only giving us discounts off mostly junk anyways (but good for the price). It's not like 20% coupon off a plasma TV or sumthin.
Thanks

I have never had a problem using printed coupons at HF. Just be aware that they won't let you combine coupons. You can't use a 10 or 20% off coupon and a discount item coupon in the same transaction.

Actually, there are times they will combine coupons.
They have about ten different types of coupons. I have had a number of 10-15-20% off whole purchase, no matter how many other coupons are used, others only off one item, others only off one single item. Other coupons were only good if there was no other coupon items in the transaction. That is, you buy a funnel with a e-mail coupon, or a coupon from their flier, then you can't use the 20% off with a different item. If that happens they have to ring the items separately. Had that happen two or three times.
The coupons are meant to be printed as is said. The legal boilerplate on the coupon is required by law in many locations.
Read the whole coupon sometime. Each one tell how it can be used and that is what is programmed into the computer at the home office, then updated to the stores daily.

I actually get lots of them in the e-mail, but the threads here are great at tracking them down. The 20% off single item till end of may is still good, posted links from yahoo are in this forum.
Most the 20% off whole purchase where last December.
I don't think I have any whole ones right now, I was just pointing out that their policy and the way the coupons are used vary, a lot.
I assume you are signed up for the flyer, and the online coupons?
