View Full Version : Sears Quiet Glide on sale
Sears has their 6 drawer rolling cabinet Item# 00965667000 Model# 65667 for $159 and another 10% off using coupon SWELCOME10248. The 5 drawer cabinet is also heavily discounted. I realize this isn't their top of the line ball bearing stuff, but it's MUCH better than their "homeowner" crap. Plenty good enough for casual wrenchers -- like me.

PS - Why isn't there a sticky hot deals thread??

I've got a couple of the 5-drawer Quiet Glide cabinets, and for the 2-3 years I've had them, they're still like new. No issues with them at all.
The ball-bearing ones are nicer, and eventually, I'd like to upgrade (more to a bigger cabinet, like a 56" job), but these aren't a bad cabinet.

Check your local K-mart. They are closing out Craftsman boxes. I have seen, and not bothered to buy, the ball bearing rollaways for 99 bucks.
The Quiet Glide go a little cheaper.
Worth calling around if you want a low price box.

No, I use them as wheel dollies for my truck.

Oh man!! I bought that same toolbox for $199+tax in February (17th). Do you think if I go back to the store with a printout they would refund me the difference??

jeepkj02: The deal is normally a price change within 30 days. We're almost at 60.
That said, some managers are nicer than others - you've only your time to lose by going back and asking...

I would recommend checking out K-Mart first at least as Chris said above. They always have boxes on clearance. Recently I have seen a few nice black Quiet Glide top chests still in the box going for $70.
Even though it's not as nice as a ball bearing versions, it's a steal compared to what you could be paying for one of the crappier homeowners versions.
I have even seen a roll-away for $35 simply because it was missing a caster. I would have bought it but I just didn't have room for it.

Don't forget the 90 day satifaction guarantee. See if you can talk one of the clerks into doing a return/exchange for you.
