First time out of the toolbox, and my 80 tooth S-O 3/8" ratchet earned it's keep. I was pulling the top bolt on the transfer case on my Jeep, and as I loosened the bolt, I was only getting one click per stroke. Any other ratchet, it would have been no clicks. I'm sure there are other ways to remove this bolt, but a Dual 80 sure helps in tight spaces.

After 7 years in the "field" I am upgrading all of my hand-me-down / second hand / c-man ratchets I have bought some from Grainger (the good deal ones on another thread) and am purchasing Dual 80's as $$ permits. I refuse to buy tools on credit. I absolutely love the three dual 80's I have bought do far, and highly recommend them to anyone. Some SO tools are overpriced, but these are worth their weight in gold!

Oh man! I love my dual 80 as same with dual 72 on 1/4dr.. It work really good. I just bought RAF80 last day from my snap on guy and I use it after bought. Wow I am happy that I bought RAF80 not F80 as it is similar size but more thinner!

Whats an RAF80 ?? I don't see it listed .
The dual 80's are so badass in 1/2 drive. I don't buy a lot of SO stuff because I think its overpriced but I am picking up a whack of dual 80.

You can say that again. I just bought a 3/8 short flex handle, it is awesome.

Check out post #38 by DynoDale in the other thread. There was some discussion about that. The guts look similar to the Blue Point ratcheting wrenches, which are Taiwan made.

It does indicate USA origin on the packaging I saw and I specifically looked for it. I believe the guts are imported but the body forging and assembly are done here for at least some of them. For now anyway.

I love the dual 80 stuff too, but FWIW I have pulled dozens and dozens of jeep t-cases (I work at a Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge dealership) and typically use a short ratcheting wrench on the top harder to get to bolts, you can hit the wrench with a hammer if you have room to break it free or I will take a prybar and pry it or position the pry bar against the wrench and pull on the pry bar to move the wrench initially just to make it easier

I used ratcheting wrenches on the others, but it didn't fit on the top bolt. I only have standard length ratchet wrenches though. And my only stubby wrenches are metric, and these bolts were SAE, (this car can't make up its mind whether it's metric or SAE!) But the F80 did the job with a 8" wobble extension. Provided plenty of leverage, just not much room to swing.
