If I bought a FHOF80 , could I remove and re install the grip upside down so the logo is right ways up when I flip the handle ?

you might have to get a new handle... not very pricey though... when i had snap on guy replace mine, he totaly destroyed my old one getting it off

With the lever facing up, the finger indentation of the handle is supposed to be facing down.

Try to get a hard handle instead. The soft handle get dirty easily. Plus, it is not durable.

There's an index finger indentation on the handle and it's supposed to be facing opposite the lever on the head.
If I got a ratchet from SO that had the handle installed upside down, I'd turn the whole ratchet in for replacement.

I guess he wants the Snap on logo facing up when it's lying in the drawer. It's more of a show off thing. I also want that way. :spit:

We still don't know if the handle was installed upside down or not. I'm curious as hell to find out which is why I wish Weedwaka would hurry the hell up and check back in this thread. :D

No im just crazy. I want to buy it and flip the handle like snap mom. Then it would be like a mini FBFH80 . I just want to make sure I can rotate the grip. =)

I don't know why you assumed it was installed wrong. It sounds like he wants to flip it over, so it's bent like a spark plug ratchet. Snapmom did that to hers, and I think it has the same soft grip handle

I don't know how you'd get the handle off. With the old hard handles, they gave you a little bit of a "flange" area to bang against, but these new handles taper right down to the bar. I gonna guess and say the dealers probably clamp vise-grips on there and then bang on the vise-grips to get the handle off. Then they tap the new handle on from the tail with one of those plastic shot filled hammers. :dunno:

Because when I read the first post, I immediately pictured the GearWrench ratchet at Sears that DID have the handle installed wrong. :D

I'm thinking I'd just flip the handle over like snapmom did and leave the grip alone; that way it could be quickly changed back if need be.

Buy a flex-head ratchet and flip it over using your torx driver. It won't take more than 5 minutes.

That's weird. Did I post before or after you?
Anyway, like petty and merkava stated, I think the grip would get destroyed if you tried to remove it. I don't think it's as simple as turning it around.

Those are not interchangable.
I have changed some of the soft handle ratchet handles, and I would highly doubt you could get one off (or rotate it) without destroying it.
The first generation of soft handle ratchets you can get off, perhaps with only slight damage to the handle. The current style....forget it. You will need to cut it off.
