too bad I'm not anywhere near there. That's weird to have a sale like that at one store only

That's odd... advertising on Craigslist no less. Maybe it's a joke or a large liquidation sale?

They must be closing that store. They did the same thing in Mountain View, CA when they were going to close the store .. then they changed their mind because their lease got extended for two years ..

I didn't notice it was craigslist. That is weird.
What is Sears ESSENTIALS?

I've heard of Sears Hardware, but not Essentials.

I really don't want to see another Sears go under.

Essentials near me was a Kmart converted over to a Sears, so it has the typical home "essentials" plus tools and appliances, etc.

I am in Irvine and I am quite busy right now, otherwise, I would head north to Tustin (a few miles away) and see what they have. Yes, I was quite surprised to see it on CL when I was browsing the board looking for stuffs.

If the Essentials is like a Kmart, that makes a big difference, because their tool selection is pretty limited. They definitely don't stock anywhere near what a normal Sears would.

Nah, it's better than Kmart's tool selection. Much more, but not quite the level of the full blown mall Sears store.
