I know Craftsman flex head ratcheting wrench set (metric) does not include 14 mm size, but I am surprised to find that Sears do not even carry that size.
Similarly, Craftsman offset ratcheting wrench set does not include 17*18 mm wrench. I searched Sears.com and did not find that single wrench either.
I do not understand what Craftsman is thinking. These are very commonly used sizes.

i dont think its a common size for american metric bolts. just JIC metric bolts. but i agree, its stupid. i bought a husky kit for my car and it didnt include a damn 12mm LOL

i think its as said in previous threads that it lets the price be less and thus more attractive to purchase by skipping some sizes...although i agree 100% with you that its incompetent. If i wanted to piece together a set id do that, i dont need to be forced to piece together a 75% complete set. :(

Not sure why they do that. My reg. wrench set was the same and I ended up filling in the holes 4mm to 22mm in metric and 1/8" to 2" in SAE.

Out of curiosity, did Craftsman's wrench sets always exclude certain sizes? If not when did they start?

Anyone can tell me why Ford can not use a 5 or 6 mm fastener instead?

Sorry but I have to use the right tool I am a precision mechanic .0025" is my only fudge factor allowed. ( only measured in inches as metric dials were rare when the standard was set)
