Simple poll - do you guys use nailguns, and if you do, which do you use most often?

I use all of the above in all different brands. There is no way you could just pick one. As they all have there specific uses.

After installing all the trim for a small bathroom remodel with a hammer, I am budgeting a finish nailer into my next home project!

I have an 18 ga brad nailer and 15 ga finish nailer - both Hitachi. If a nail gun fits where I need to put a nail, I'm using the gun.

Only thing I really don't use the guns for is hanging pictures / decorations on the wall. Maybe someone needs to invent a nailgun for the interior desecrators of the world that like to hang stuff on evey wall of the house. I'd buy one just to make hanging stuff for my wife fun.

Technically, isn't that something you could use a palm nailer for?

chicago comercial sites r really strict with the osha rules. no personal power tools of any kind, and a buch of other ridiculus rules 3'' sleeved shirts no cut off shirts, must wear pants, its way different then frame'n houses

They are all a great way to save some effort. I use them all... and the palm nailer is great for joist hangers (even though it is not on the list).

If you buy a mid quality nailer it will last a weekend warrior a lifetime an pay for itself within the first couple of projects.

I have a framing and brad nailers along with upholstery and medium wire staplers. I'd like to get a finishing nailer next.

Ive got a Senco finish gun, and a Senco framing gun.

I use them often, and as noted, they pay for themselves QUICKLY!

I use that silly finish gun all the time.

All of the above but much less framing than years ago. brad and 1/4 crown staple are the top two.

Oops. It seems that I posted a similar inquiry just a month ago. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34302

I don't even remember what prompted me to start that thread!

I use a Bostitch roofing gun and, occasionally, a stapling gun for plywood sheeting on cedar conversions. I always have a Rapid hammer tacker in my belt for felting.

I have a paslode framing nailer (pneumatic). Does not see a lot of action. I took the plunge and bought one when i had an extented project and renting one no longer made sense. Its a beast. I would definately recommend. Got it on sale at lowes, price was same as on line sites (Nail Gun Depot) etc.

Craftsman 16 guage finish nailer. Perfect for what I need it for.

We had bought 3 Ridgid nailers and the framing nailer is probably the best as far as I'm concerned.

I have used the brad nailer more due to me building furniture and trim work

The most used are in this order;
Brad, Framing, finish

You cant really compare a framing nailer to a brad or finish nailer, it's like 1/2 drive Vs. 1/4 drive. Two differnt things.
