Well in two weeks the old ball and chian is going skiing and the time for me to act is now she has been wanting to use our garage for three long years now and so have i.. so stay turned and wait for the after pictures

as you can see I have a two car unit 20x23 for the most part. I plan on using the back for my ski tuning and storage I tried the wire rack stuff but it's not neat and I know that neatness is going to be key in the gargage so looking at the picture there will be on the left a large cabinet 70 inch tall 20 deep and 40 wide (lowes) then my bench will be up next and then my sander on the wall just out of veiw to the right is a peg board I will be placing 3 cabinets there along with a 5 draw tool chest That should be enough(like there will ever be enough) and I'm getting rid of a ton of stuff(there is a chouch, a recliner, a gas dryer, a table ,bunch of storage bins 7 pairs of skis on and on..

Dedicate at least 1 hour a week to making sure that your garage stays clean and clutter-free. That's what I do.

With 168 hours in a week.... you can find at least 1 to devote to your garage.

Unfortunately the before picture is the clean one. After finishing out the ceiling and other things the garage looked so good I decided to re-do all the shelving, repaint the walls and trim and go through everything and toss it or clean, label and store. Which meant I had to trash the garage again.

But most women like to clean and organize, so I offered to let :boobies: help. She was mean greening everything and even cleaning oil and paint cans before they go back on the shelving. :willy_nil
Get her watching those home make over shows. She'll won't to prove she's just as good as those TV people.
Downside is I may never find what I'm looking for. :dunno:

Hope I can finish in the next week or so. Taking much longer than planned but should be worth it in the long run.

Ok I really should have said the primer is up I just went over it again and finnally put on the gloss top coatI didn't cut in yet but i'll do that tomorrow when a put the final layer of top coat on (sounds like a car detail) and i got the tiles with free intrest for 6 months i have to get the cabinets and that will be on wensday oh ya my nephew help me move some stuff to the salvation army

Well all of the painting is done and I even found time to get some trim paint. I let is all dry and the started on the floor My daugter(3 years old) was helping e put int he hopscoch and she was having a ton of fun while i didn't get as far as i wanted to day I think i'm still doing well with time.

Well today is a long day as you can see my helper was up bright amd early and was still in her PJ's when she doned the boots to help daddy with her help the flooring is 2/3 done and thank's to my nephew I now have mived my peg board and build and put up three cabinets and one large floor cabinet. I'm strating to put stuff away and I havn't gotten to painting the trim farther yet. but as you can see the couch is still there I need to move that out tomorrow and that will open things up along with the three detailing cabinets i plan on putting up tomorrow will be a busy day again

It looks great. and is pretty easy to install. I can't really drag things around by my self any more because it's so gripy. one thing is you can't really go to far in the starter rows or it's a pain to conect i tried premaking two totether and it was a hassle so now i just put them on one at a time.

Well the final cabenit are up and things are pretty much on the home streach if only i could catch a brake. while i was filling up the karosone heater my daguter woke up and while i was puting her to bed there was a siphen action that pulled the gas right out so after vacuming the fuel up there is still some to evaoprate I'm leaving the gargae door slighty open and venting it out the garage is sealed from the rest of the house so i should be ok.. anyways the floor is now 85% done and i'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm glad all of you could join me on my quest and while the constrcution phase is done you all know now is the shove everything in the gargage phase but at least not i can fit two cars in the garage and not have to worry about puddles.

Just curious - what kind of flooring system is that? Is it similar to RaceDeck? You mentioned that it is 'grippy' - so it must be some kind of rubberized material?
While I am drilling questions - what kind of price per sq ft does it run for??

what happens with oil spills and any other fluids or how about dirt and dust in side the holes
looks like it will trap it all and then when it is taken up the floor will be tore up looking

how about screws and nail that are dropped and lost in the holes just to reappear in your tires?

Hey i went though all this if you drop a screw if it's not TI or alum your ok a magnet will pick it up.. fliud spill if there is enought of it vac it up that is what i did with the karosine that leaked out 1 1/2 gallons of it. I did need to pull the floor up a little and vaccum under it but it came up easier then i though and they went back togther just a s easy..

Home depot Yes you can at a place called sporty that is where i had to get the edgeing from. but the tiles are doulbe the price that home dept sold them for. 10 for 8.99
