I went to the swap meet. I found 2 SK 1/2 ratchets,
I got them for: $10 for the small one, and the big one for $15,
$25 total....
I guess it was a good deal..

So how did I do?
They have SK Wayne on them, what years were they made?

S-K was bought by Wayne in 1964 and then sold to Dresser in 1969, so AFAIK, S-K Wayne only existed for that five year period.
So how did I do? If you are happy with them to use, then you did good. If you bought to re-sell, the market will tell you.
thnx, jack vines.
I Think you got a great deal. Those ratchets are tough as nails and quite smooth, especially if lubed with a light coating of Wheel bearing grease. The regular length ones often sell cheap because there are just so many of them out there, but the long length ones are a lot harder to find for the kind of money you paid. I would have pounced on that one if it had crossed my path.
The SK Wayne marked tools were from the 1960s.

a fine vintage tool and on the slim chance you break one they are under waranty and the new guts will fit under the old cap. enjoy them and use them they will probably outlive you with proper care.

another thing to note is that SK will not warranty anything that says sk wayne on the tool. at least that is what I was told by my dealer.
