$5 at an estate sale. The old guy was a retired firemen.. I picked up two fire extinguishers. Most of the garage was picked apart already, not much left worth anything.

Any guesses as to this tool? If you farmed ever, you will know.

It looks like it could be some sort of edger for around a sidewalk or the like. Jump on with one foot (the "7") and wheel yourself around like a scooter.

i have (somewhere) one of those with a rubber wheel and a larger spiked wheel. I think its an edger.

Isn't it one of those things you use to cut a pie crust?

Its for planting seeds.

WINNER!!!

Its a seed sower. Helps you make rows to drop seeds into. Pretty cool old gardening tool.

I don't think so. That is a side walk edger. No farmer in his right mind would plant a field with that.

Where I grew up in Kentucky, we planted quite a few things but I never saw this before. ( Scratches head )

I don't think so. That is a side walk edger.

Makes sense to me, use the bracket on the right side to drive it down till the bearing looking wheel hits the sidewalk, push

Yeah im gonna have to agree its a edger, Ive seen the Old time Seeders that your referencing and the Wheel is beveled to remove dirt. Explain the little wheel on 1 side if its a seeder? Its a early Sidewalk Edger Im Sure. Nice find but its for killing not growing.

OK, maybe it is a sidewalk edger. Either way, I know what SHE is using it for.
