Just received mine today!!
Free IR bag, gloves, cover & Ken Onion Kershaw Chive knife $250.
Question: How do you guys lube the unit via the trigger port?
IR sells a kit 115-LBK1 for around $25.00, but I'd rather not spend that if I don't have to.

The grease goes inside that small hole in front of the gun (below the anvil on the titanium casing). You need an allen-type wrench to get that little screw off.

Use a pin type end on your grease gun. Using the IR115 Grease is a good idea, a lot of testing went into choosing it.

You shouldn't need to grease it for a while unless you are using it very frequently.

Grease? I put a couple drops of oil in the inlet of my impact guns and that's it. Didn't know there was grease to. I bet that's in the books I never bothered to look at :bounce:

What are you talking about?
there is a flush mounted grease fitting on the side of the hammercase, you use the gun provided with the 115-LBK1 kit to injuct about 4-6 pumps of grease about every 40 hours of operation, the tool also needs to be lubricated with about 1/4 teaspoon of air tool oil in the air inlet every time it is used

I was under the impression that the hole is for greasing, no?

I was under the impression that the hole is for greasing, no?The hole with the plug was referring to the Nitrocat tool. The IR Ti tools have always used some version of a flush mounted grease fitting, origininally a small one in the front of the tool and on the "MAX' tools a larger one on the side of the hammer case.
