I have the chance for buying one of these wrenches for the same price. They are both in new, unused condition. Both 15 inch handle. I know the 80 dual action has 80 teeth, can't find any info for the 936.

Which ratchet do you feel is better? statistics? reasons? Thanks!

SL80 all the way especially if you can get it for the same price as the older SL936 the 80 tooth mechanism feels much better over the 36 tooth 936 series.

I have heard some discussion that the 936 is 'stronger' than the 80s??????

As far as I know the only advantage of the 936 series is that the selector is a little better but as far as the actual ratchet mechanism goes unless you are a 800 pound gorilla with a bad temper they are both plenty strong.

Supposedly they are, but the S832 is still one of the strongest ratchets on the earth. The SR71 Blackbird is obsolete too, but it's still bad-ass.

I'd like to have a few new S80's but can't justify it right now. I still have my trusty old SL710, SF832, and LSF7-- at work and a SL936 and a S71 at home! They work just fine, but after reading the torque specs advertised for the S80's, they are kinda starting to look kinda crappy. :wtf:

I would go with the SL80 especially with a long ratchet.

I picked up a SLH80 last week as a warranty replacement for a 36 tooth. To me it feels like the cheap ratchets from princess auto.It has a fine tooth action but it just feels cheap to me,sort of like the 15" 1/2dr from princess auto that I have.I still grab the 36 tooth snappy's for most things, use the 80 for places I need a fine tooth.

I have all of these, and by FAR prefer the 80 tooth, the older ones were more coarse then the cman ratchets!

Sadly, I too have been looking for her for a while, but rest assured when I do find her I'll start my own "KRL Hauling Ass" thread!
