Lowell Ratchet

Is Lowell ratchet any good? I read from its website that their new ratchets are casted, not forged. That can't be good. I bought this old 3/4 drive Lowell ratchet from the swap meet for $10.

That's one I haven't seen before.I'd have coughed up the ten bucks without a second thought.

Here are some pic of the internal. The switching action is done at the end of the handle. There is a long shaft that run thru the handle.
