who sells this type of ratchet adapter?

i am looking for a low profile ratchet adapter. the type that will convert to the next larger size with an attached thumbwheel. a patent for armstrong exists ( patent # 5509333 ) but i have not found it in a catalog. does anyone know of a source for them. i think i have seen them in a three peice set to convert up to 3/8, 1/2 and 3/4. sorry, i have no pics but the patent will give a good desription. i am not concerned with brand. thanks in advance

I have a snap on one for 3/8 to 1/2, a very handy tool to have.

thanks for the help guys. still at kind of a dead end. starr leaves me at a dead end. i can find no current info on them nor patrick starr the inventer. no answer on a call i made. is the napa one on ebay the same product. i cannot find that one on a napa search either. that leaves ebay or stahlwile and they seems a bit pricey. any other ideas out there.

you can buy the snap on thumb wheels and then get the adapters seperate to change the size, but it would get pretty tall if you do that.

That cornwell one still adds more depth than the snap on, (or maybe its blue point) one that I have, I also have a 1/4 to 3/4 slip over adapter (from volvo) for their serp belt tensioners. so if need be I can adapt from 3/8 to 3/4 without adding more than 3mm depth (the thickness of the thumbwheel), the volvo one has no thumbwheel.
