Here are a few pictures showing the progress of my little garage.
It was very dark due to the wood and three little recessed light fixtures.
Painting the ceiling and walls in addition to the new 4 bulb T8 fixtures brightened it up quite a bit.
I still have a few cabinets, odds and ends and of course the flooring to complete.
-Wall Control panels in black and red over the bench
-Red or black paint on the door
-Some more task lighting
-Race Deck Tiles in light grey (hope a group buy comes through :lol2: )
-2 craftsman cabinets for under the Gladiator Bench
-Some weather stripping for the top and sides of the garage door (any suggestions on this?)

Tks. I picked up another craftsman cabinet for under the bench today. Moved the old sets of drawers out to the storage room.
Just about the time I am finished I am very sure my wife will want to move

Very nice, personally I'd keep the floor light....if you should drop something it will be easier to find it. JMO

Love the cabinets. What do those things run these days...Are they ever on sale?

Sears had a lower initial retail on these cabinets. After a few months, they magically inflated and the sale price was pretty much the original price.

I bought the two wall cabinets when they were on sale for $99/each. They are usually $159, and on sale for $10 or $20 off almost every week.

The tall cabinet usually goes on sale for $269 or so.

I bought the gladiator bench and wall cabinet with an extra 10% off coupon.
I like it a lot better than the sears version, plus I only had room for a 6 footer for now. Sears version was 5' or 8'.

I got the new 5 drawer cabinet on sale, plus Craftsman Club 10% off, plus a $5 off coupon I had.

With Sears, if you watch the ads and deals, you can really get a good deal.

I really like the cabinets. I wish the big one had wheels. I guess it would be a safety/tipping issue because of the height.

Currently, I don't see any sales on these. I bet that changes next week.

I just found this site tonight and at just the right time. I'm trying to decide what kind of upgrades to do to my garage and I'm getting some good ideas.

Your garage is looking good. How do you like the Craftsman cabinets? I've been trying to decide between Craftsman and Gladiator but I haven't been able to make up my mind. I'm not sure the Gladiator cabinets are worth the extra cost.

It's kind of ironic that you used a Gladiator bench with a Craftsman cabinet underneath. I was wondering the other night if that would work & how it would look. So thanks for posting the pics. Now I have my answer to that question.

Some of the reasons I picked the craftsman over gladiator cabinets are:
- Cost (sears is always on sale). C. Club discount once a month.
- Sears large upright cabinet is larger than the gladiator.
-I liked the plain grey/black color of the sears series.
-I liked the in door storage feature.
- Most were in stock at sears.

Don't get me wrong, I like quality of the gladiator chest better than the 5 drawer sears that I bought (gladiator was $100 more though). I also really liked the fact that their tall cabinet was on wheels.
Also, the gladiator under bench cabinets are deeper than the sears brand.

I plan to add some gladiator gear track and accessories to one wall this spring.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Just ran across this thread. Nice job! Big difference in the painted walls vs plain. Thanks for posting the before and afters. I have been looking at Sears for cabinets as well. Looking good.

I wish the wall cabinets were deeper thank 12 1/2 inches, if they were like 15 I would be in Heaven.

I have almost forgot about this thread.
Here are some newer pics including my new Wall Control system in powder coated black and red. Highly recommend it.
