I dont have a drill press, and have been waiting for an older one - this one is a little far out of town for me (my pick up truck is 40 years old) but it looks so nice.. also, could stand to NOT spend $100 right now..
should I go get this, or just wait til I have more cash on hand or a closer one?

I looked long and hard before I bought mine, and I would have loved to have found that deal. My dad has an old benchtop Craftsman that looks like that one.
On the plus side, you can always get your money back and then some if you decide to part with it in the future. I don't know your financial situation, but I'd jump on that if I didn't have a good drill press already.

That's a good deal. If it was near me, I'd be on the way.
Looks pretty good to me...... I'd go look at it at least.

That's similar to the one I have. Those Craftsman ones work great. My brother got one for $150 and was very satisfied.

Those are nice drill presses. MUCH better than the stuff made now.
If it's within your capabilities, I would buy it.

I have the exact same model as the one in the Craigslist ad, it's a very good machine. If you buy it, bring along a friend to help you load it...they weigh a TON.

Looks identical to the one I have that I got from my grandfather. He gave it to me as he was dying, wanting it to go to a good home instead of my uncle who either sells everything or just leaves it uncovered in the back of his pick up for months on end until it's in bad shape and just scraps it. I got all the original paperwork for it plus a third pulley attachment that increases the spped ranges.

I've got one that looks very much the same, I got it around 1978, mine only issue is the tiny drive belt. Its about a 1/4 wide and hard to find, other than sears. If I were you I'd get a spare or two as it looks like you have the same belt (8speed).

I think the one in the Craigslist ad pre-dates the tiny drive belt era.
