Racedeck questions - Newbie

Hi everyone. Never knew such a site existed and it is pretty cool.

I have been planning on doing my one stall that houses my Corvette. It is probably around 10X16. After many different options, I have decided that Racedeck may be the best for me.

I was just wondering, for those that have it, how do you like it?

I love it. I love the finish, the ease of installation and the easy care of maintaining it.

The looks arent so bad either

Since its a Vette its probably just a show car and Racedeck will look GREAT, might even make the car look better

I love my Racedeck tiles, they make the garage seem just a bit nicer and warmer. My only complaint is they can be a pain to clean, unlike the previous posters comment, I find them difficult to keep clean. The diamond treads make you scrub the floor in 2 directions to get all the grease and oil up, especially if you are like me and the last time you cleaned the floor was 1 motor and 2 transmissions ago and the floor is more black with grease then anything. I have found in those cases the best way to clean it is to buy the cheapest lacquer thinner I can find and pour it all over the floor and scrub it off, hose it down with dish detergent and get out before the fumes get me. I can clean it in about an hour that way, I try to do clean once a year.

Seriously, its one very minor drawback compared to all the positives, it looks great, its indestructible (unless you weld, torch cut on top of it, oops) and its a delight to get on your back under a car because its much warmer than very cold concrete.

I would not consider a garage without it and I purchased more tiles when I moved recently, never even considered anything else, I love my Racedeck. My new garage, I did leave a 10x10 section with bare concrete as a welding area.

try simple green mixed in a bucket of water.

either get down on your hands and knees or mop it.

the hard way works better but takes longer.
