New Member saying Hello!

Hi guys!

Just a note to introduce myself and let everybody know I'm lurking periodically as time allows. I am reclaiming my garage after several years of neglect, during which time all manner of "stuff" has taken up residence. My vehicles have always been under roof -- just the space I intended for shop use has been usurped by all kinds of non-automotive junk.

I found this site via a google search -- much good info here! Looking forward to learning a lot more.

HELP!

I'm trying to set up my profile, and for the LIFE of me I can't get the time to read correctly.

Not that it's all that big of deal, but I am in the Eastern time zone (GMT-5 hours) and that DOES NOT COMPUTE to the correct time. Screwing around with the settings tells me that GMT-3 would do it (even though that's NOT the correct time zone, it would give the correct time) -- BUT I either get GMT-2 or GMT-4 -- attempts to select GMT-3 won't work!

So what am I missing? Am I going to have to set a special clock with "Garage Journal" time?

Don't bother, just read all that comes up. I'm in Australia and we are ahead of the USA by several hours so what I read as "Today" is yesterdays news and there is nothing too dire that I will miss.
If the end of the earth happens. I'll send you a message to warn you. :)

Welcome to the forum. I don't worry about the time difference, just keep the time difference in mind.:)
