Very compact/ leaves very small footprint in workshop
Has a built in cabinet
Digital rip fence good up to 1/32"
HAs options of attaching router table, drill press (pay xtra for stand but uses 1/2 drill), belt sander and jigsaw
Not bad for the price $269

_
The table fence only extends out 18" max. big neg if you ask me
The cabinet style base makes it hard to move around
poor dust collection (guess its pretty normal)
Cabinet latch really poorly designed. Not very study

Overall verdict: If the fence could extend farther it would be perfect for me

I saw one of those at one of the big-box stores (I want to say Lowes . . . don't remember for sure though). It's a neat concept, but adding the costs up might be a difference. I've already got a drill press, and other things, so nothing would be a match in my shop. A newbie starting out from ground zero would be handy for I suppose. I'll keep watching the ads for a used ShopSmith though. :-)

Re: Dust collection
Dust was coming into the cabinet. Put tape around the holder for the bag to close off the space between the holder and the cabinet. Helped a lot.
