I've had this OLD Electro-Dental Corp. 1/4hp lathe motor. It is a 2 speed motor and is wisper qiute. I re-wired it and put on a coat of krinkle paint. Here is my problem. Where do I find and "arbor" on the tareped shafts coming out either side. I'm just wanting to put two 6" or 8" buffing pads on the sides. Anybody have an idea? http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/vv207/bb1970gj/DSCF0010.jpg http://i684.photobucket.com/albums/vv207/bb1970gj/DSCF0015.jpg

Just Google Jewelers Tools and they all sell these tapered shafts that you are looking for. You will need the correct diameter for your motor and they come in left and right so the buffing wheel will not spin off.

What kind of paint did you use to do that? It looks great!

Looks like Krylon Wrinkle Finish to me; I have a instrument panel with this coating in the oven right now as I type this.
