Just wanted to say hello. I am soon to start a new workshop/garage and am looking for inspiration. Just finished a drive on old route 66 in my '69 Corvette. While taking in the awesome stretches of this route, I decided that my shop will be modeled after one of the old "service stations" from the good old days. The man cave will take the space of the retail front office. Three bays will allow a lift and two working bays. I will complete the project with a front awning and some pumps/signs for effect. I hope to start this project by early Fall once plans and permits are in place.

Those old pumps aren't cheap but they sure do look cool as hell. There are a few guys on here that should be able to help out with the look you want to achieve. Start digging through the gallery threads and I'm sure you could get some more ideas.
Oh yeah, welcome and post some pics of that vette.

Hello! From one pnw guy & vette owner to another.
I like the old service station theme too. There's an
original restored Shell station complete with pumps in
Fall City, WA. It's a store front for an antique business I think.
If I get by that way again, I'll see if I can grab a pic or two for you.
