I was removing some 10mm bolts using a stanley ratcheting wrench and a 12 inch breaker bar. It took the torque and broke the bolt free. I was really expecting the thing to break but it didnt and it still works fine. Just wanted to let everyone know that this is a good tool. Ive used my larger ratcheting wrenches with assistance from a 2 pound mini sledge before with the same results.

Thanks for the heads up on a decent tool, but why exactly were you doing something you thought would break your tool? Get a breaker bar....They're cheap. :D

I've got the "GearWrench" brand of those ratcheting wrenches. Right on the package it say something about them not being intended for freeing frozen parts, but the guy that sold them to me uses and abuses them. He says that they can take quite a beating... however a breaker bar makes a LOT more sense. ;)

Yes, stanley makes great tools. I don't have any but I have heard great things about them. Good Choice.

I started out with the Gearwrenchs, but they have been relegated to the shop. Now I have/use Armstrongs, double box end, one side Gearwrench, the other, a boxed wrench (for breaking loose). Ebay purchase NOT retail (around $400 for full set sae/metric).

And that is a bad thing? I think that would be a strong plus that none of them like NASCAR

But my question is... where are all the girls that look like the drivers girlfriends? There has to be more than the 45 or so we see on tv right?????

Have you guys seen any of the older NASCAR drivers wifes?? Not super models. The hot chicks have only come around the NASCAR guys since the sport (yeah, I said sport) has become more popular.

NASCAR has changed a lot since I was a kid. I grew up over in Western NC, and one of mom and dad's friends was a guy who built engines for Junior Johnson. It's not like he was a celebrity- just a working stiff like everybody else- but I always thought he had a cool job. Anyway, 20 years ago, NASCAR was still a somewhat small deal, and the drivers/owners/etc. were (I think) a little more -ahem- rough around the edges as a result. Now that they have those flaps on top that keep the guys from flipping over and dying in a ball of fire (and I'm all for that, no point in having people die in a race, nobody wants to see that...), etc, things just aren't the same.

What IS the same as it was 20 years ago, though. Not much. Damn, I sound old. I'm just 27! It's too early for me to have these kinds of realizations. :lol_hitti

Jim, what happened to your admirer at Sears?:bounce:

Nothing about NASCAR is the same since Helton and company decided to go Hollywood.
