OK, here are a few shots of the toys we need a big garage to support!

The black car is a 1986 Shelby GLH-S Omni, taken at our local road course Waterford Hills ( www.waterfordhills.com ) in Clarkston, MI.

The white car is a 1992 Shelby Can-Am (can you tell we like Shelby Dodges? :D ) also taken at Waterford Hills. The great thing about Waterford is that they have a co-driver program, so you can share your car with someone else throughout the season (my wife in this case)...so it's much easier to justify the time / energy / co$t of playing with race cars!

The next shot is of the big bay filled up for Winter storage mode last year. The slammed '64 VW Doublecab Pickup is a friend's, and he's since built a pole barn to house his stuff :deathmeta

The driveway pix are from last Summer, showing the freshly cleaned "fleet" ready to go, including our long-owned '85.5 Porsche 944 and recently added '00 Honda S2000 (our first drop top :rocker: )

Let's see your stuff

Sweeeeeeet I bet the #37 is a blast to drive on the track!

Oh yeah, it's a riot.....and a lot different than the sedan-based cars I've raced.
The Omni has around 210 turbocharged HP driving the front wheels, and could be quite a handful (fun, but you had to work for it ;-) at a tight track like Waterford Hills. The SCA is powered by a 3.3L NA V6 producing around 270 HP through a spool (locked diff) transaxle and big slicks, so it's way faster but easier to drive in many ways.

Not wanting to leave out the small toys, here's the Honda (Z50K1) Mini Trail I've had since I was a kid. We've been through a lot together over the years, and the little bugger really deserves a resto.
Maybe after the garage is finished (if that's even possible :spit: )

Hey SCA037, I was at the SCCA National Convention in San Diego back in '89 when ol' Shel was there to unveil these spec racers. Neat cars indeed!

A few years back, 29 of the 75 SCA's built were shipped off to South Africa to run in their own series over there. You can catch up on what's gone on since their 1989 launch at www.shelbycanam.com (hit "click to enlarge" on my car for the full story ;) )

Here's a picture of that old chilicooker testing one of the early prototypes
