I recently purchased a set of 14 shallow 1/2" drive metric impact sockets from Ingersoll Rand. Nicely finished sockets, but they were shipped in an elaborate blow-moulded case that measures 14-1/4"x11"x3-1/8". This is a case that is about as large as the cases for my rechargeable drill or scrollsaw. All this for 14 sockets?
The question is what to do with this case? I am running out of room for large cases, but I hate to just throw it away. Being custom made for the sockets it doesn't seem to have any readily apparent alternate use.
