I am looking at getting the locking impact adapting extensions (aka transmission extensions). Does anyone have them (numbers start with IMSFXL followed by the size)? What size do you use the most? What size the least? (any you say don't waste your time with).

Thanks:thumbup:

I think I can help you out.
The individual Snap On part #"s are
IMSFXL18 $60
IMSFXL24 $68.85
IMSFXL33 $76.35

The prices are current from snapon.com

There is a link to them below.
http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/tools.asp?tool=hand&Group_ID=18170&store=snapon-store

As a side note they are not Snap On .
They are Blue Point ,but they are not listed as such in the current catalog #1000, but they are in the description online.

I have the complete 3 piece set in the plastic tray and the packaging says made in USA on it in two places .The country of origin on the website is USA.
The adapter extension themselves have the part # and Blue Point laser engraved on the top 1/2" part and on the locking collar they have made in USA stamped in.

There is no 3 piece set listed in the catalog or the website but the part # for mine is 203IMSFXL

I have a pic of the set but don't know how to post it on here, maybe I could PM it to you if interested ?

As far as what ones to get or use it depends on the job , but if you only wanted to buy one or two I would get the 24" and then the 33" but again that is really up to you and what your working on.

As a side note I often see people selling Snap On regular industrial finish adapter extensions as impact ones on eBay .
They will work but obviously are not made for impact use and even have WARNING NON IMPACT on them.
Just in case your interested in them the part #'s for the regular adapter extensions are :

GAX5 5"
GAX12 12"
GAX24 24"
GAX36 36

That was the requested information, thanks. I listed the item numbers in my prior post, and the set, was listed a month ago, when I last checked (been wanting for a while, just not sure it is worth the $$$ for all three). Either they are short on stock of some of them, or more people like me, are not wanting ones that will sit in the toolbox (rarely used).

I did even price Matco's, and they are a couple of bucks (literally) more for the set. I did check out the Toptul site, but this type of extension wasn't listed (why I asked about them in another section. Not everything is always listed, aka New or limited stock).

I do wish there was more options for them.
