I bought one of these a while back and used it the other day.

WOW! I'm not sure why I waited so long.

I'd never own an abrasive chop saw again.

Cuts almost like a hot knife threw butter. No dust, very minimal sparks and and fairly quiet too. Also very accurate!

Just don't try to cut anything that's hardened, or stuff that's too thick. Blades will die quick, if you try.

I've been cutting 1 1/4" acme thread with no issue. I also cut up quite a bit of 2" solid stock for a guy at work, and I've been cutting up 3/4" plate. Quick must be relative, because I would have eaten a case of abrasive blades by now.

I like this better than a band saw. My does has a horizontal and vertical one and it rarely gets used.
