Jesse James ltd edition toolboxes with tools included. Looks like there are a few missing pieces in the top box, mainly a couple sockets but as I understand it, they were tools that came with the box so may be hard to replace. He wants 600 bucks for everything. Worth it? Have not asked if he has keys yet. Thanks for any info.

edit: also appears the chrome endcover on the handle is missing.

i'm curious too. couple of these showed up recently near me...although the tools are mac they don't have the mac warranty...i believe it was only a 1 year warranty. but two boxes and lots of tools seems like a good price to me...although it looks like you would out grow that thing really fast...

Wasn't there one in our classifieds a couple weeks back?

I would pass for $600.

If I REALLY had to have the tools now, I would say worth around $200-$250 (Depending on if those green things in there are S-K).

Those Mac sockets/tools in there are the Taiwanese MAC. You would be just as well served to buy them at HF.

I remember seeing that JJ stuff on the Mac truck when he was "huge" (ie: on every TV channel it seemed). IIRC the upper cab complete with ratchets, sockets and wrenches was $600?? its been a while and im likely wrong on the exact price, but i remember it being cheap for "MAC" tools. At the time, my dealer was trying to get me to buy it as my home set.

I passed on it for the same reason as Blacknwhitepit mentions, made in China!
and warranty. It was a lesser tool IMHO. Plus i didnt like the black chrome.

Looking back, i think Mac used these tools to test the water regarding Chinese tools.

Last time i was on the truck i bought some pics to replace my broken USA made Macs.. i didnt realize till i got off the truck that they are Chinese origin  No more MAC for me.

Seen them NOT sell for $450 unused. You might offer $300?

Your money, your tools, your decision. FWIW, it seems this would appeal more to the weekend warrior wannabees than to serious techs, rod builders and collectors. Never seen one in a professional shop.

thnx, jack vines

I told him I'd pass. Before he gave me the pics, I was hoping it was filled with a lot more tools as in snapon, mac, matco, etc. I don't care at all about the jesse james theme, and I already have a box twice that size at least. I was hoping to take what little I needed from it and sell the rest at a profit but that doesnt seem likely. Thanks for the remarks!
