hobart 140 welder with spool gun?

has anyone tried this combo? i have a 140 and would like to weld al.

It won't work without a separate controller, and even then, it's too small to do much with aluminum.

Even my hh175 doesn't make sense to put a spool gun on. It's cheaper to sell what you have, and get a new welder that can run one without a controller.

thanks for the reply. i saw that it was offered but that doesn't always mean it is a good way to go.
