These are long discontinued and I'm sure the current Crescent brand replacement is made offshore. I was searching Google for HL116P and I found a company at hmcelectronics.com selling a Diamond HL116P for $10+$10 shipping. I received it today, checked the website, it's no longer there so apparently it was the last one they had.

Still do. Ever order a pair of Proto pliers? They still come in white fliptop boxes.

You'd be surprised how many of those Diamond green handled groove-joint pliers are still in use today. Seen two different pair actually in use at two different times just this year, and I don't work in the trades anymore. Seen a plumber doing work on a commercial building that had a pair of the 12 inch ones. We had some water damage last year in our home (leaking dishwasher), and the insurance company paid for a disaster recovery company (serve master) to come do the initial clean-up and inspection. Two younger guys (probably in their mid 20's) did the clean-up and dry-out. In the hands of one of those guys was a pair or Diamond 12 inch groove-joints as well. He set them down on the sink then went out to the van, so I got a good look at the pliers. They were the real tool, probably new-old stock or something. Didn't look like they'd seen a whole lot of use, but were obviously used daily.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Cooper produced the last Diamond green handled groove-joint pliers sometime not long ago, about in the mid to late 90's or so. I thought I still saw them on the shelf at a Hugh M Woods building supply and hardware store still in the mid 90's, but I could be mistaken. The 16 inchers in the photos above are likely pre-1981 made, as the box still makes reference to Duluth.

Hi,
I just picked up 7 PIECE DIAMOND TOOL PLIER & CUTTER SET NEW OLD STOCK from Ebay. IT says they are made in USA but I'm hoping there are old enough to be from Duluth. Guess I will find out. Also a made a best offer to $25.00 and won it. The seller has 10 more if anybody wants some.

The 3 light-green-handled Copaloys probably are, but the others aren't...
