Only one drawer? I've outgrown two 4 drawer filmstrip cabinets packed full, not adding in the 30 or so in the roll cab. Bought an 11 drawer wood map chest off CL to expand into - filled one drawer with 3/8" ratchets nicely spaced out to "display" - and promptly peeled one of the drawer runners off the side of the chest wall from the weight :( Now I either need to seriously reinforce the runners, or look for yet another large (and this time steel) cabinet/case. :bounce:

Well, its a small drawer. And I have a LOT of other drawers to fill still - so its not the end of the world.

Decent mix of snap on, craftsman, plomb, thorsen, NB, and a matco and a cornwell as well.

Look at what the site did to me, and this is my spare drawer, not my snap on stuff I use all the time.

Snap on 1/4 set was removed as I was using it on something, that is the open spot and again these are my spares...
Here is what I use most of the time.

Could you imagine the rioting if "Clean House" tried one of their interventions on something like this? Not saying that anyone here needs it though!
Nice collections btw.

Aw, you got PLENTY of room left in that drawer - you can still see the drawer bottom! :lol_hitti
Now once you have to pull the box apart to un-jam the overstuffed drawer - THEN you got a problem...

Yeah, i got a wee bit anal yesterday. My lawnmower was acting up so i decided to tear into the carb to check for foreign particles, worn parts etc. I reached into my toolbox and grabbed my new T72 and quickly put it down and reached for my thorsen. (its scratched already). The first thing that came to my mind was that i was turning into Merk. Geez

I don't work with mine, I work on computers, hahaha. I use them to change the oil or when I changed the steering wheel on my silverado. So yes I would use them all, I just hardly have a reason to anymore.

Ratchets overfilling toolbox drawers is a side effect of Garage Journal disease. I'm 51 years old. For the first 49 years of my life I had 4 ratchets, a 1/4", two 3/8", and a 1/2" drive, all Craftsman. Two years ago, I joined the GarageJournal and with the 1/2' drive Wright I picked up at the flea market sunday, I now have 41 ratchets. Somebody needs to find a cure!

With only 41 ratchets you don't need a cure, you need more ratchets!

The number will probably be over 50 by the time the flea market season ends, but the disease has started to move into its next stage, I'm getting the urge to buy a bigger toolbox.

Don't whine now chrislehr, save it for later. The progression will go from outgrowing the drawer...........to outgrowing several drawers............to outgrowing the toolbox itself.............to multiple toolboxes being filled........ :shocking:

If you are talking about this? box
http://i421.photobucket.com/albums/pp296/48548/tool%20box%209-2009/IMG_3956.jpg
It is a montezuma box, I got it from Shannon @ www.strictlytoolboxes.com
He is a sponsor of this site and the box I got was the
Item #: MTZ-LA400
Dimensions: 30"W x 19"D x 20"H
Weight: 87 lbs
made in USA and thanks to SKfarmer for showing them I am very happy with it.
I put the snap on logo on it as I had a spare and thought it would match, but the box on top is much better quality than my KRA-300F.

I am really really trying not to do that, because then "adaptors" also gets a drawer, and those $150+ SO knurled extensions can come into play.
Also, +3 ratchets today. A proto 3/8 on a 1/4 body, a Snap On Tm70a and a Plomb 5249 knurled.

Now that's funny! I was looking at that pic and thinking the same thing! It seems I used to just reach in and grab a ratchet or two. Now I have to look the drawer the over and think about which ones will be best to use.
