The one that I have has a rubber strap, that looks like it is metal.

These are my favorite for Porsche 911 oil filters....range is 66-106mm (just over 4"). Price is $34.00. The nice thing about them is their ratcheting feature...they grab in one direction (to loosen or tighten) and slip in the other.
