I went to a tool ONLY garage sale today. It was .... breathtaking. The guy probably is (or should be) on here. Collects everything, has a garage sale once a year to make room. I literally could have dropped 1000$ here. He had TABLES of sockets on rails as well as bins of loose sockets. Power tools, wrenches, boxes, screwdrivers, snap on complete new in wrap sets (I ALMOST got the magnetic bit driver with bits for $20 but I didn't bring enough cash. Im kind of glad.

I spent $60 and think I did well.

First, a pic of the whole thing.

A near complete set of protos (2-3$ each)

Couple of ratchets. He said he had a TON more but I didnt get there til 11 or so. 1/4" wright, 3/8" herbrand, and a 1/2" SK wayne and Nice Matco, mac, and snap on extensions as well. The extensions were 3-4 each, the ratchets varied but non more than $6.

First off - that proto C clamp. I had to have it. I commented on it, told them about my 3.3/8 williams, and asked him to throw it in when he said everything else I had was $50... he said OK. sweet!

Some cornwell stubbies, a vintage crescent wrench, 2 SSD hard handles, and one 1/4" drive hard handle as well. A plomb 3/8 breaker, a Proto 1/2" breaker, and a Cman 1/4" breaker

Not pictured (but in the first pic) are a bonney wrench, a plomb wrench, and some Indestro super pliers.

How'd I do?

I'd say you did well except you ran out of $'s. You need a bigger tool budget:lol_hitti Course we all need a bigger tool budget.

I personally am jealous as the past two weekends, I've been gone and have bought but $1. worth of tools in 10 days or so. Wish me luck as I'm going to an auction this afternoon. I need a fix big time:bounce:

Oh, suckage awarded, that clamp alone is at least $80 new!!

Thanks. I've had a few lame weekends in a row, so I would say I was due!

Good score. Not give-away prices, but a great selection.

FWIW, my automotive machinist says that model S-K Wayne ratchet is his all-time favorite and he is hell on tools.

thnx, jack vines

Those SO drivers are old. Ever notice how all the cheap black plastic screwdrivers have pseudo (old SO handles)? Maybe the hard handles that just went out will be copied also.
