I don't have it.............yet! It's on my list. I don't know if it would be any more handy, but it looks like it might save a cut, bruise, or scrape.

The offset looks like it would be nice to clear obstructions so you don't have to use a long extension - it's on my list as well. :)

I've been contemplating buying one as well for my enduro tool kit.

I have one, had it for maybe 2 years now. I use it now and then, I like it very much. Ive never regretted the purchase.

Specifically why is this not your standard, flex style ratchet? Not long enough, etc?

I think the 9 inch or so length makes it a handy ratchet for general egine compartment work. However, I wish Snap on made one with a steel handle instead of the comfort grip. I also feel that the offset really isn't needed with a flexhead ratchet but, that's just me. It could save you a skinned knuckle though in a particular situation though. I prefer the FHF80 ratchet.

I picked my Snappy up at a bargain price, so that is the only real reason I have it. It would come in handy for spark plugs, but I have not done those on my cars in a long while. I really am not a fan of any flex head actually... I only use them when absolutely necessary...:)

Mine has saved me a few times. I'm very happy with it.

It is a true knuckle saver. It works great for spark plugs, and other inconveniently placed items. I would recommend one.

bmw,
I have two of the longer ones and they do not have the cushion grip. I use then as "spinners" pretty often and I think the cushion grip would be a disadvantage. Otherwise, they are the only 3/8" ratchets I own.

I find that I have to set the head straight with the handle before putting it away in the drawer. :eyecrazy:

Actually, That really doesn't come as a surprise...:lol_hitti
I just make sure I turn all my ratchets 'OFF'

Hmm. How far can you flip it to the other side?
I have one, it's gotten me out of couple of jams.
