Hi all,
I need to spray latex paint for some crafts project -- well, my girlfriend asked me to do it for her -- and I don't want to use my good gun.
So I went and bought a harbor freight purple gun (66222) thinking it was the same one as the good old 43430. It was pretty cheap with sale + 20% coupon.
Now, I need to buy a 2.2mm tip and some browsing online revealed the following sku's:
25941 - 1.7mm tip kit
25942 - 2.2mm tip kit
25943 - 1.9mm tip kit
These tips are meant for the old 43430 and I can't find any reference anywhere to anybody trying these on the 66222.
The guys on the tech support line and customer service line were really unhelpful.

So anyone tried those tips on the 66222? Thanks in advance.

I use a Husky brand spray gun made specifically for latex paint and sold at the Home Depot. It was recommended by my brother in law who is a professional carpenter/finisher with 30 years in the industry. I purchased the first gun about 5 years ago, and the second one on clearance about two years ago, so I don't know if the current model is the same as the guns I have.

Kurt4440: Thanks for the reply. Was that an airless sprayer, a good ol' siphon feed or a gravity feed gun? I don't need to spray big areas, just some props for a scene. Ideally, I want to spray HVLP, and it kinda seems like a gravity feed would work better than a siphon feed for something as viscuous as latex, but it siphon might be just fine for all I know ..

Siphon feed.
Enjoy your time in Ithaca, some of the happiest times in my life were on Cayuga Lake and in Union Springs with a woman I dated. Her mom and dad owned a cottage right on the water.
