Hi guys,
I need some help from the Snap-on gods. Below is a photo of one of my latest ebay purchases. It is for tightening collets into my TG100 toolholders. It is 2 1/4" (part no. XH172A). It is obviously designed with a machined end and a spring-loaded button to snap into a "breaker bar" of sorts. That is my question: what exactly is this "breaker bar" called? I'd like a fairly short version if I have a choice since I'm only working around 100 ftlbs. Is there a part number or catalog I could find? I am definitely looking to scrounge this for a decent price since I'm scared of what it would cost new!

I think this is what you're looking for. A handle. :)

I would find a piece of steel pipe with the same inside diameter as the tool's outside diameter. Cheap and easy.

The Snap-on "tubular handle" for that wrench head is part number 30B. It's 1" ID, 1 5/16" OD, and 30" long. It's discontinued. You could just use a piece of 1" ID tubing and cross-drill a hole for the button. The TG100 collet chucks that I use have holes for a pin spanner, so that's what I've always used (sometimes with a dead blow).

Thanks guys! I figured there was a chance this would be an orphan; that's OK. Fabbing a handle won't be rocket science. I can use it as-is for now.

DynoDale: My toolholders are Erickson NMTB40. I think I like the hex nut arrangement, although it is a bit bulky. I haven't tried any holders that use a pin spanner.

Is there a good search term to use for future ebay searching?

Thanks again, Jon

None are 1" ID, but the 13TH being 1 5/16" OD is suspicious. Misprint?, or could bore it out to 1".

I wonder why they were discontinued? I have several wrench ends and the handle and was surprised to find out they had been discontinued, I even checked to see if they had been transferred over to the Industrial sales side, but they don't have them either.
