I'm looking for a large compressor for the new shop. Saw this ad on craigslist, but I'm not familiar with Curtis. Anybody know if this is a decent brand? Does the price seem good? This is the description he listed:

Curtis industrial two-stage compressor, 80 gallon with a single-phase high torque Baldor 5 hp L1410T, 208/230 volt ac motor. This is a Curtis model 5E2VT8-A2 unit. The compressor is an E-57 Challenge Air. At 1100 rpm, the actual cubic feet per minute at 100 psi is 21.2 and at 175 psi it is 20.3. The motor, pressure switch, check valve and magnetic starter are brand new and property matched up to this system. All is there except the power cord. This compressor is still in production and I have the maintenance/spec/parts book on it. $600.00

um...hell yea, that's a good price. Curtis is one of the bigger companies out there. Heavy duty industrial stuff. You have 3 phase?

No, just single phase, but its listed as single phase. Found the Curtis website and its looks like a well built product. American made. Gonna see if he can hold it for a few days until I can get down to buy it.
